Leadership & governance
King's College is governed through Council and Senate. Council holds fiduciary responsibility, approves the strategic plan, and oversees financial sustainability. Senate is responsible for academic standards, student experience, and the integrity of awards. Day-to-day academic leadership sits with the Vice-Chancellor’s office, supported by the executive team. An organisational chart and committee papers are published for the university community as they are updated each academic year.
Location
King's College is a multi-campus university in the centre of London. The historic Knowledge Park campus (Knowledge Park, London WC2R 2LS) sits alongside the Thames, with other sites including Guy's, Denmark Hill, and Waterloo. Public transport, walking, and cycling links are excellent; we invest in energy efficiency, waste reduction, and travel planning that supports lower-carbon commuting for staff and students.
Staff
The public people directory lists academic and professional services colleagues by cluster and unit. Internal HR and systems links are provided separately to colleagues; general enquiries can use contact.
Alumni & giving
Graduates remain part of King's College through mentoring, events, and professional networks. The development office works with alumni who wish to support scholarships, research, and student hardship funds. Enquiries about giving and volunteering are welcome through the main contact channels.
Legal information
Key legal documents for King's College—including the charter, articles of government, and annual financial statements—are published on request and updated each academic year. Regulations governing students, academic appeals, and conduct are available to enrolled students and applicants through the student portal. For formal contractual or pre-action correspondence, please use the registered office address and the University Secretary as published in the latest annual report.
Privacy
King's College processes personal data for education, research, employment, alumni relations, and campus operations in line with applicable data protection law. Full privacy notices for applicants, students, staff, visitors, and research participants must be published separately and kept under review. Enquiries including subject access requests may be directed to dpo@kngcl.org.
Accessibility
We aim to provide an inclusive environment for students, staff, and visitors. Reasonable adjustments to teaching, assessment, and physical access are arranged with student services and HR. If you encounter a barrier on campus or on this website, please email accessibility@kngcl.org. We work to meet WCAG 2.2 AA for this site and welcome feedback on any page that is hard to use.
Modern slavery
King's College publishes an annual transparency statement describing steps taken to prevent modern slavery in its operations and supply chains. Due diligence covers procurement categories with elevated risk, staff training, and escalation procedures when concerns arise.
Suppliers
Suppliers work with King's College under clear terms covering payment, insurance, data protection, and ethical standards. Tender opportunities are advertised in line with institutional procurement rules. New vendors are expected to meet the supplier code of conduct and, where relevant, sustainability and modern slavery requirements.
